Shyne Zigbee bulbs (help with reset)

I’ve been using this retro-look bulbs for some time now with my deConz integration, and all was fine. However, since my deConz died on me several days ago, I am not able to reset them bulbs so I can use them on my new ZHA installation.

All of them had setting “Power loss” to “return to previous state”. Since one of the bulbs was OFF when deConz left for greener pastures, now I’m unable to even turn it ON when I connect it to power. It is always OFF. The other 2 were ON at 30%, and that’s what I get when I connect them to power now.

There is an official procedure to reset them (Turn the light ON for minimum 10s, then switch it OFF; 5x switch the lamp ON for 2s and OFF for 1s). However, on the one that is permanently off this obviously isn’t working, as I can’t get it past first step. On the other 2 it also doesn’t work for whatever reason. Yes, I’ve tried several times on all 3 bulbs (permanently OFF one was without power for over 36hrs).

I’ve tried contacting the customer support but they couldn’t help me any further.

Has anyone used this bulbs or have some other idea on how to reset them so I can use them again?

Well, no…but yes at the same time.

I wasn’t able to find any way imaginable to reset the bulbs.

I was, however, able to “recreate” my DeConz setup on a virtual machine using same zigbee stick to which bulbs were already paired. Once bulbs were unpaired, they started behaving normally and I was then able to pair them to a new system.

You won’t believe it, but I just got them to reset. I build myself this automation, to do this process for me, because I thought I just didn’t get the timing right. What I just did is increase the count from 5 to 6 and they reset…
