SIA Alarm with SecureConnect / Scantronic iON i-on alarm panel

Hi all,

I am trying to use SIA alarm integration to connect to my Eaton Scantronic alarm system, however really struggling to get this working. Any ideas?
I have the internal IP address, have a SecureConnect account to set the alarm via mobile app etc

+1, if anyone has any experience to share, I’d be very interested. There are some obvious use cases, such as flashing lights when alarm sounds. It’s understandable that HA could probably never arm/disarm, but passing status downstream is hopefully doable.

Did you get anyone find a solution on this - Just started looking if I can read the real time info from an I-ON40 alarm.

The web portal can be connected to and gives status updates for the different components

I contacted the manufacturer who have sent me biod updates that I’ll need to apply. I know its an old thread… but I’ll update once i’ve done it. (a week or two hopefully)

Did you update the firmware?

I have a scantronic system and would love to integrate with HA.

So, in the spirit of the community and helping others I got all this working perfectly with the scantronic i40 and home assistant via the SIA plugin. You have to do several steps… (i acutally used CoPilot to help me with the steps and amazingly it worked)

  1. Enable the reports on the alarm panel itself, along with the HA IP, port, account and also set the outputs as LAN report. SIA 3, etc
  2. On HA enable the SIA plugin, populate the fields
  3. The panel, when state changes then send the SIA 3 reports - ITS ONLY ONE WAY (so no alarm control)
  4. you can then setup your custom automations based on the state change/ message value…

Its fiddley, but you can do it, and it does work. I automate to do things such as turn the lights off when the alarm is set to night mode and check cameras are armed on exit etc.

I know this is an old thread but I have a custom plugin that will arm and disarm the Ion, it does have limitations ie, you can Full set, Unset, Part Set b, c, d but you cannot retrieve any stats from the alarm like zone status due to restrictions on the user type.
This doesn’t stop control using the secure connect app but it will always display “remote access” on the physical keypad.

I also have a custom card but the built in Alarm System card seems to work OK.

I’m sure between that and using SIA for zone status changes HA could replace having to use the secure connect app.

If anyone is interested I can share or figure out how to put it on HACS but I’m new to getting back into HA after many years away.
