I’m not sure what changed… on my mobile phone when I open the Home Assistant Interface, the sidebar doesn’t toggle to “icon-only” mode anymore. Instead, it completely hides the sidebar or shows the whole sidebar; which isn’t very useful for me. My Home Assistant version hasn’t changed.
It should look like this on my mobile device:
Instead, it looks like this:
The only way I can force it to look correct on my mobile phone is to open my web browser and select “Desktop Mode”. Did something change in the Android Mobile app?
@myle@anon43302295 thanks for your responses. I’m pretty sure I used to be able to hide the sidebar too. However, I used to be able to display icons only if I wanted to.
Also, I noticed now the mobile app displays 2 gigantic columns instead of 3 columns… (as if there isn’t any room on the screen).
Below is what it looks like right now. Oddly, it displays less information on the screen when there’s no sidebar.
Below is what it used to look like yesterday; which looks just like all my other devices:
UPDATE: I found out exactly what’s going on. My Android phone got an update that reset the screen DPI to a relatively low DPI (value: 411) which turns off Tablet mode on the Android app. Changing the DPI back to a higher value in Android Developer Options\Minimum width, re-enabled tablet mode on my phone.
