Wondering if anyone has done any work with the Sifely Locks… They have a gateway that is wifi…
Any luck on this?
Edit: Emailed them (they responded insanely fast), they don’t have an Open API.
Someone would have to buy the gateway and probe it for open ports, or attempt a mitm on the lock/gateway or both.
Has anyone been able to make progress with this?
I have the gateway, what information is needed to develop the interface?
Spent quite a bit of time trying to pick the right lock and I didn’t even think about integration with home assistant. May have to return it for something that does.
Looks like more integrations are coming. Per their CEO January, 2023…
Dear Sifely users,
How time flies! In a blink of an eye, another year has passed. For the past year, we thank you for choosing us; this means a lot to our growing company. Thank you for choosing us to secure your house, property, building, office, and home. So in this new year, 2023, I’d like to make some promises and challenges to answer your choice.
1. Continuous Product Improvements
Lock business is not easy; it requires the users to install it themselves. In our industry, there can be a high return rate. So to simplify the process for everyone, we will modularize our components, reduce the number of parts needed, and continue to make it easier for anyone to install.
2. Chat with us through our app!
Every month, we receive over 2000 inquiries and work to resolve each and every one as quickly as possible. You can always reach out to us on our website, by email or by live chat. So in this new year, we plan to implement a live chat option on the Sifely app. All in hopes of making the process of getting your question answered or issue solved shorter and more convenient.
3. Airbnb integration
We know many of our customers are running a short-rental business. As a result, we recognize that a feature such as automatically generating a passcode connected to an Airbnb reservation would add value to you. We are currently in talks with Airbnb about API access. If we can access their API, we aim to integrate with them and make your short-term rental experience even more seamless for you and your guests alike.
4. API connection
Other businesses and organizations, such as Property Management Companies, have their own systems or software to manage operations or properties. To simplify property management and other operations, we can provide APIs, meaning a manager can use their PMS to control to manage their properties.
We will do our best to meet and exceed these promises. As we continue to establish Sifely, we will continue to work on these promises and are excited to see what will happen in the future: smart access, empowering your business and making your life more convenient, never having to take a physical key with you.
There are also some reassurances for all Sifely users: any inquiry will be answered in 45 mins or sooner during our business hours (Monday through Sunday), all orders have 30-day money-back guarantee, and all of our products come with a 1-year warranty. So we thank you for choosing Sifely as a partner that you can count on. Let’s journey together in 2023.
Hans, Sifely CEO
I am pretty sure sifely has an API now. Their product manager emailed me awhile ago after I emailed asking about this months prior.
They emailed me on January 10th.
Hi all.
I’ve actually started working on a python project to integrate.
lordlala/pysifely: Python module for Sifely home products (github.com)
I originally wrote this to use the web API that matches their portal.
However, I noticed it seemed to lack a lot of functionality the app has so I started capturing the data from the app and began using the api from it.
I’m having some issues getting the headers/data correct for some actions like lock/unlock, but so far it will login, get all objects/locks/gateways/user information, etc.
Feedback welcome.
I actually used Wyzeapy as a template since I’ve worked on that project before and am familiar with the setup, so don’t mind all the Wyze references in there.
Any updates? I’ve got a Sifely and am just getting into Home Assistant. Wondering if I can connect this lock via a Bluetooth (or otherwise) now. I’d love to maintain all of its functionality but set up some integrations!
