Simple, Matter/Thread based button suggestions

We have a voice assistant in the living room that we use for a single thing: We say “Hey, Nabu. Good night” to start a (mostly Node Red-based) house shutdown automation that turns off lights and heating, after a period of “quiet.” (This is defined as no motion outside of the master bedroom for a period of time.)

I need to give up on the voice assistant because of spousal pressure. At least a few times a day, the voice assistant would say, “I’m sorry, I don’t understand <repeat entire sentence I, my wife or the TV just said>” and that’s getting very annoying. I explain that it isn’t listening on the Internet or anything. But, no, she says it’s gotta go.

So I’m hoping to replace this automation with some simple button on the wall. I now have a few thread devices (door and window sensors) and I’d like to expand it, so I’m looking for a suggestions for a simple button that uses Thread and Matter. Has anyone come across such a thing?

If I don’t find one, Zigbee (the vast majority of our devices) would be acceptable too.

For matter you can look into

For Zigbee there are these generic ones:

I have one of the generic zigbee ones to toggle my rack monitor power on and off when I am not at my desk and I have a shelly button 1 acting as my doorbell button.

The TUO one looks good. Unfortunately, they don’t sell it outside of the U.S. (I’m in London.) They will ship to me, for 75% to 200% of the cost of the product, though, depending on how soon I want it. That’s nice of them.

But I’ll keep an eye on that. Eventually they’ll sell it internationally.

Aqara do cheap buttons that work well, or there’s Ikea or Hue
