I’m new to this so forgive me. I have a touchscreen with a pi mounted on the back. If I have hass.io on it can then add hadashboard or something similar to use on that pi or do I need hassbian or a whole separate pi? Thanks in advance.

As you’re new we will forgive you but next time please put a title that describe your problem, a forum full of “Simple question”, “I have a problem”, “Help me”, … is not really readable 
A title like “Running hass.io and hadashboard on the same Pi?” would bring the people with an answer to your problem to this topic.
