Hello,
I have HA on a rpi 4 with a Z-wave and Zigbee controller.
For my kids i’m looking for a simple room thermostat to operate.
It must have a display showing the current room temp and the set temp.
it must have 2 buttons for temp up and temp down and at least 1 programmable button for Auto or Manual selection in HA.
The thermostat must control some z-wave heating thermostats.(donexon varmo TZ pro)
Does anyone know a thermostat that I can use for this?
Forgive my bad english, it’s not my first language. ( i’m from the netherlands)
I don’t think these devices generally have a screen/buttons. I think you are generally better off getting the normal Zigbee/Z-Wave thermometers and building automations in HA that you can give your kids access to do the buttons.
Of course, this is assuming that the denoxon devices will accept those updates from HA.
I saw a plugwise lisa thermostat and thought Yes! that’s what im looking for, but then i read i also need a plusgwise adam HA controller for it to work in Home Assistant?
The normal zigbee/zwave thermometers? don’t have programmable buttons in HA i think?
A single wireless thermostat is useless. It always needs to connect to something to be able to provide some functionality.
In the case of the Plugwise Lisa it’s an Adam HA.
