I’m hoping to find a single gang switch that allows me to wire two circuits. I have one circuit controlling my under cabinet LEDs and a second controlling my toe kick lights. The goal is to have manual control over the LEDs, but also have the ability to have automation as well. I’m using Zigbee, but I’m not married to it.
I plan on putting a Shelly Plus RGBW PM relay on each LED circuit, but am concerned that if the wall switch is turned off then everything is broken.
A wall switch will only toggle the power to the circuit as such you can run it in decoupled mode once its installed if it has the option in the settings like you can with other relays to keep power always on until changed from that mode so that it only toggles the state of the smart lighting and other relays you link via automation.
Just go with the one that you like the look of and go from there, else just setup a relay behind a dumb switch that looks the best for your overall design choice in the home and setup from there.
