Siren and Chirp recommendations

Hi,

I’ve purchased a zooZ Z-Wave Plus S2 MultiSiren ZSE19 but, a m having mixed results. Testing with all devices within 3 feet of each other, I am getting unacceptable latency issues (3-4 seconds)

I have a simple automation that plays a “chirp” sound when a door or window has opened and a 3-4 second delay is annoying

I run HA in Proxmox on a NUC device. I have a Zwave and Zigbee stick. I also have a number of Google Home and Google home minis.

I tried playing an mp3 file via Google Home but the mp3 files are always preceded by a “connection” tone

What other alternatives can I try

I know Zooz support is really great helping customers. Perhaps they have some ideas.

I opened a ticket with them and just sent them the additional info they requested… I hope to get this going as I think it’s a slick device.

I was trying to plan for not getting it working
