Hey Everyone, looking to get some more granular energy consumption information in my home and im looking at buying ~30 of these Sixwgh Zigbee Plugs (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002605377621.html?pdp_npi=3%40dis!AUD!AU%20%2433.88!AU%20%2413.89!!!!!%402103228816815397206977613e3b95!12000029636156142!sh01!!&spm=a2g0o.store_pc_home.productList_2003387059702.pic_10) but haven’t been able to find much about them and how they play with ZHA, has anyone had any experience with these and if the energy monitoring feature set works well on ZHA?
I am also interested in exactly this, very cheap plugs. I am looking at integration with Zigbee2MQTT though
I have several of these devices in use and providing the granular power monitoring information you’re after.
Overall experience has been great. I have a little niggle with one of the devices turning itself off, but that is rare and I haven’t locked down the root cause yet. I’ll probably just replace it.
Let me know if you need/want more info.
I have these ones as well at the moment after doing some semi long term testing vs the ozsmartthings v2 plugs, they are pretty much identical when it comes to both with the main difference being that these cheaper ones are listed as 16A and the OZ ones being listed as 10A with a bigger design and the OZ ones being certified, so as long as you don’t use them for high strain loads they are generally fine to stay on the safe side and I would just keep to the certified ones for those loads.
