Skyconnect and Mac Mini

Good morning,

I just moved HA from a HA Yellow to a Mac Mini (latest Model). I expected to need a SykConnect USB stick to manage my Tread/Matter devices but everything seems to work fine without it. The HA Yellow is switched off.

I also have some AppleTV and HomePod installed.

Does this mean I do not need the SkyConnect at all?

Your question is not related to Zigbee, (Matter and Thread does not work the same way as Zigbee). Recommend you read Marcel’s replies in this thread (no pun intended) → Nabu Casa at the Matter Member Meeting

Thanks for your quick reply, I had read that contribution already, but it does not answer the question I have. I will post the question in a Matter discussion somewhere.

Edit: forget what I said above. I jst read Marcel’s answer. As they say: those who can read (and also use that capability) have a clear advantage !
