Hello everyone,

I’m having a problem

I can’t switch it to Thread and keep getting this error message:

‘The radio firmware on your Home Assistant SkyConnect could not be determined. Make sure that no other integration or addon is currently trying to communicate with the device. If you are running Home Assistant OS in a virtual machine or in Docker

There is no add-on or integration running on the system. I also tested it with a brand new Pi with HAOS but also without success. I keep getting the same error message.

Does anyone here know a solution?
Thanks in advance

Personally I flashed it with Thread using their tool on a different PC. But that was before I saw there was an option in HA to do so…

But how are you switching? Did you go to System, Hardware, Skyconnect to change firmware? Multiprotocol is no longer advised.

I also have the Silicon Labs Flasher addon installed, but I disabled it. I frankly don’t understand if you need it at all and how it all ties together. Too many choices, so if I needed to do it all over I’d probably still use a separate PC.

So you used a seperate PC with the Universal Silabs Flasher and you have flashed which Firmware to your dongle?

I think I used a tool from HA, but if I google it now, it says it is temporarily unavailable…

Maybe it isn’t working for you because it relies on the web flasher that is temporarily unavailable?

Perhaps. I will contact Nabu Casa directly with my problem and will give an update

I managed to get my HAOS to find the SkyConnect.

I installed the Universal Silabs Flasher Tool on a computer and then flashed the SkyConnect 2.4.0.0 image according to the instructions.

After that, I was able to activate the changeover to Thread in the Hardware menu.

The only thing that was a little confusing is that you have to adjust the baud rate to 460800 in the add-on itself.
