I’m having issues with my new SkyConnect dongle on my 2013 Intel Macbook Air.
I have installed the silicon labs usb driver, When setting up the Zigbee addin Home Assistant reports it “can’t probe USB port”. I’m running HAOS in a VirtualBox VM with USB passthrough.
In order to isolate the potential USB passthrough issue I’ve connected to the firmware update web page and connected to the paired SkyConnect USB device using the Silicon Labs driver. I get a device not found message. I’m not trying to update the firmware just confirm that it can connect to the SkyConnect dongle.
Do I have any options options to try to get this working on my current install or should I spend the time to ditch MacOS and Virtualbox and rebuild with a linux distro running on bare metal?
