I received a Skylight calendar for Christmas.
So far I have chores and events setup for the whole family and am just forwarding a Google calendar I created just for this. Have any of you used this device, found a way beyond Google calendars to integrate it with HA?

We have one also. I’ve not seen any integration for it beyond their own website or via sync’d calendars.

I’d love for a way to have HomeAssistant be able to turn the screen on/off at scheduled times.

I just sent their Support Team an email to see if this is something they could support.

I want to be able to toggle Network Access based on completion of chores.

Now that they have a 27” version in a frame, I would REALLY like to have an integration with HA with access to dashboards and syncing of lists.

Anyone working on an integration?

They responded to your email above specifically regarding “HomeKit” I notice. They need to understand the difference with Home Assistant so you might want to clarify that for them.

Any update? I would buy 3 of these if it had HA integration.

I reached out to them regarding HomeAssistant or HomeKit integrations last month which they said they still did not have. Earlier this month I asked about open APIs so we could make our own and this was their reply on 04 APR 2025:

At the moment, we don’t have an open API, but we’re always exploring new ideas, and this is definitely something we may introduce in the future.

While Skylight is still a small team, we continuously develop new features based on customer feedback. Although we can’t provide a specific timeline for this request, please know that we appreciate your input and will take it into consideration!

I just came across this. seems to be someone has reverse engineered the API. Looks promising maybe. I don’t have the skills to make an integration with it, but if it works, its definitely a start!

Edit: I just tested it and it works! though it is basic authentication, which seems low on security. I would assume easier to integrate though? I have no clue.

That’s awesome, would be great if the meals could sync with something like mealie or tandoor now!

I guess I am. :sweat_smile: It’s kinda rough around the edges, but it creates a calendar in Home assistant that syncs from skylight. uses basic authentication, you have to retrieve from https://ourskylight.com using web dev tools.

Thanks! I have not really considered progressing it, just because I don’t really have a use for it. But if you have any ideas, I would take a look!
