Skylightframe has just launched a nice piece of hardware. It’s a 27” touchscreen in a good looking frame that hangs on the wall. Very high spousal acceptance factor!!
Is anyone working on an integration for this? What about a hack to use this hardware with HA? Is there other hardware out there with similar aesthetics (large touchscreen in a nice looking frame…not a tablet on the wall) that can integrate with HA today?

I don’t think its possible as its running android 5 and only has 512mb of ram per a reddit post of someone hacking the 15" model

I just took another approach to solving this problem and made an add-on daylight calendar. Instructions to setup this addon are in the repo, but the long/short of it is:
It’s open source, so you can fork and modify it however you like, or if you want to see some improvements suggest or contribute.
For the hardware , anything that has internet access and can visit the webpage. I picked up an old dell touchscreen for $60 on facebook and use a raspberry pi I had laying around.
Do you have any screenshots or photos of this in action? I love the idea of doing this!
I added some screenshots to the issues tab in the repository. Very basic, does not suit my needs.
