Slow detection with Everything Presence Lite sensor

Dears,

I have an Everything Presence Lite sensor, configured with 3 zones, and when I enter to one of the zones the detection have a delay form about 1 or 1,5 seconds. How is possible to reduce this delay?. I have the sensor in a corridor to control the lights, and after 1.5 seconds I have already walked halfway down the corridor…

Any idea?

Ask the commercial entity that sold it to you.

MmWave sensors have high sensitivity, but also high delays.
IR sensors have low sensitivity and also low delays.

It is the characteristics of the technologies.used.
Some sensors, like the Aqara FP2, Haven both types to get the benefit of each types.

But I have another mmwave detector with a from dfrobot that have a less delay, I think taht probably the problem with everything presence is when you configure the zones…

Thanks a lot for your clarification, but there a lot of questions in this forum about sensors, equipments, brands, etc. But not problem, another time thanks nickrout.

Then you know HA can do it faster, but the device is too slow to send it to HA, so you need to talk with the device maker.
Zones might be the cause for it, but there is nothing in HA that can improve that part, if it done on the device.
