Hello!
I have a SLZB-MR1U which I successfully use for Zigbee2MQTT.
I’m using the other radio for Thread to remote OTBR.
In Home Assistant, I installed Matter and Thread and installed the Home Assistant Thread credentials on my iPhone.
When I try to add a device (while being in the same VLAN as Home Assistant) with the companion app, it says “Configuring…” for a couple of minutes, and then says “Pairing failed”.
When I add the device to Apple Home, it works.
I have tried both IKEA Alpstuga and Grillplats devices.
What can I do to troubleshoot this?

If it’s added to Apple Home, you cannot add it to anywhere else unless you factory reset it. At that point you have to connect to it thru Apple Home into HA.
I know. May be my attempt to clarify things was confusing 
I just wanted to say, that the device does not seem to be the reason for the problem, because it can be added to Apple Home. When I try to add it to HA, it is not paired at that moment.
Is there any way I can find out what is going wrong during pairing?
Hi! I was able to resolve the issue myself. I needed to recreate the border router und use and Android phone for pairing. I also needed to get real close to my radio stick with the device and the phone.
