SMA Solar Integration - Sunnyboy Inverter

Still working here. Try shutting down the inverter then turning it on again. I had to do that once to get it to connect again a year or so ago.

I already tried that. Pulled the fuse to shut him down.
After the reboot still no connection :frowning:

Do you run the v2025.1.1 of HA?
I uploaded an old backup with the 2024.10.1 ā†’ integration works fine
But as soon as I update the core to 2025.1.1 the integration crashes

Yes I do with a SunnyBoy 6.0 inverter.

That definitely sounds like an issue with the integration. Enable debug logging and open an issue.

Ah ok. Iā€™m using the core SMA integration. Thereā€™s already an issue open for the 3rd party speedwire integration:

It also looks like they fixed it a few days ago:

They donā€™t provide this through HACS so you will have to manually download it.

I updated some components manually from here ha_sma_speedwire/custom_components/sma_speedwire/sensor.py at 07b2f222b9a6d378067a6768b440adee522d8f72 Ā· eddso/ha_sma_speedwire Ā· GitHub
and also went to 2025.1.2. This whole combination fixed my problem. I donā€™t know why, because I tried the manual update like 100 times yesterday, and I canā€™t find a related fix at the description of the HA update, but well, Iā€™ll take it

I had to delete one posting, because of my newbe-level

You can also try my integration. It supports also speedwire and also the enery meters.

Thanks for the hint.
I will take a look into your integration.

Any benefits or things that yours does better than the ha_sma_speedwire?
I use a Sunnyboy 4000, and no extra meters etc.
Do you have some screenshots that you cant put into your Git, so people can see what they might get?

The biggest advantage is that many more values are read out than the 3(?) that the other integration reads out.

What kind of screenshots would you like to see?

You can find many screenshots in the following thread (all in German)

I will take a look

So, you are little.yoda? And also german is not a problem for me, since I am german

Hi folks, considering an SMA inverter for our install due to itā€™s Shadefix tech apparently not requiring any optimisers and 3 MPPTs.

Just wondering can you control your charge / discharge via these HA integrations or are they just for polling info?
