I’m looking for a smart Zigbee E27 light bulb socket, but it seems that most options on the market are low-quality. Many lack proper quality control, and some Chinese manufacturers don’t even attempt to include a fake “CE” mark to mimic the real EU CE certification. Additionally, GS, FCC, or other reliable safety certifications are always missing.
Another issue is that most of these adapters only support a maximum of 30W for LED bulbs, despite some falsely advertising 500W output (but that is only true for non-LED bulbs like halogen or incandescent lamps). It’s concerning how many potentially hazardous devices are available on Alibaba, Temu, and similar platforms.
After this little rant, my specific problem:
I have a 36W LED plant lamp, which would likely exceed the limits of these adapters and possibly damage them. Since there are no truly smart plant bulbs available, I need a safe and reliable Zigbee E27 adapter that can handle this power level.
Does anyone have recommendations for a well-built and certified Zigbee E27 socket that can safely support a 36W LED lamp?
Examples for dubious adapters. I don’t bother with Alibaba & Co. Amazon should have at least some minimum standard for safety and its easy to return things. I would not mind to pair more if QIACHIP socket is better but it seems these are exactly the same devices with a big price difference? All these adapters on amazon seem to be the same tuya devices (and are therefore probably not good)?
