Some time ago I designed my version of garage opener. It turned out that a lot of people are interested in the details. So I decided to describe it in one place for everyone.
On this page, I explained step by step how to make and integrate such a garage opener with Home Assistant by yourself (DIY style:) ).

I have to say świetna robota! (Excellent job!). Description of the project is very good, I like the fact that parts like flashing or even physical installation are there, but missing a list of the parts. An idea with two magnetic door sensors to show “between” is something new, haven’t seen this in other projects!
In the future, you can think about versions for two cars one garage door, two cars two garage doors.

These are very good ideas. I will definitely add this shopping list as soon as possible.
As for the version for two cars and one / two gates, I will definitely think about it in version 2.0 of my garage opener. This is definitely a nice idea for an upgrade.
This door “in-between” is just one option. Having 2 binary inputs, you can come up with something cool I think it would be nice to connect a CO sensor there and do some automation, that if the concentration is too high, it will trigger an alarm and open the door to ventilate.
It seems to me that I placed this post in the wrong category before. In Hardware I think it fits better. I hope that the admin will not have a mind that is moved.
