So, a few months ago I started to dive into that Home Automation Rabbit Hole. When I came out on the other side just yesterday, my house looked like this 
This setup uses:
- Home Assistant (obviously)
- an IKEA Tradfri Motion Detector (via Zigbee)
- Nanoleaf Essetials Bulbs (via Matter over Thread)
- Shelly Plugs (via WiFi)
- and an Amazon Echo Dot
