Looking for recommendations on a HA compatible door lock, both office (semi-commercial) and residential.
Features:
Individual access codes for different IDs
Keypad in case a smartphone or RFID is not available
Programmable / Restricted access days/times
Access log (mostly for personnel entry off hours)
Keyed access if power fails
I’m OK with something from Lowes/HD if there’s anything that fits the bill. Looks like the Schlage Connect might do the trick. Looking for feedback.
Bump. Still looking for a solution, now only for my home. Need exterior doors and one interior door that can be controlled both by app (remotely) and via HA. Would like the app to be able to track activity and also assign unique codes for multiple users.
Hope someone can help point me in the right direction. Thanks!
The problem with either is that I’d need to access the locks from outside the house if locking or unlocking is required when I’m not home. Having to juggle different software from different vendors is a PITA and the caveats about making HomeAssistant accessible from outside the internal network scare me a bit.
