Smart speakers and IR blaster

Looking to get recommendations for smart speaker and IR blaster.

For IR blaster, I’m looking at Broadlink RM4 Mini. I’m using York air conditioner and I can’t seem to get IR code using esphome with it receiver. I’m hoping rm4 mini might work. Does anyone have experience using with York aircond?

I have a Lenovo m10 gen 3 in a central location and looking to add some speaker to at least 3 locations. Mainly usage would be for announcement (e.g. person at door, sensor status e.g weather, temp etc) and multi room music (if possible) and occasional voice control. I’m not tied to any ecosystem and looking to get the best bang for buck option.

Thank you all in advance.

So what you get? Nothing?

Have you looked at the LinknLink eRemote?

Before people starts to suggest speaker setups it might be important to know if you want to have music in sync in the 3 locations, because that feature will limit the possibilities quite a lot.

I use this

Have two in differance rooms

I got some readouts using arduino, but I’m unable to emulate the actions when transmitting the codes. Tried esphome but i was constantly getting transmissions, made it hard to know which is mine.

Though, the built-in codes for IR remote in my xiaomi phone works but not sure how i can get those codes. Hoping it’ll just work with broadlink’s though. I’ll get it and test. Will update here, if anyone else uses the same thing

Music in the 3 locations do not need to sync. Main reason for them would be announcements and voice control.

This is great but unfortunately, i can’t find it in my country. I’ll try the broadlink and see. Else, i’ll have to look for a way to get this.
