Smart way to identify 'dead' entities in your yamls

I keep running into the issue of collecting way too much abandoned sensors, old devices, dead light bulbs and whatnot over the time. I went back and forth with different naming schemes to make use things like auto-entities and filters but nothing really worked out. It would rock if the vscode extension was aware of that and just mark them.

how do you keep track and clean your stuff up?

When stuff dies, replace it and call the replacement what you called the thing that died.
Else just remove them at the time, with the dead thing sitting in front of you
