Smarthome.study website is it active - no response from owner

I am new to HA, and the automated GUI is easy for me to use. But all the stuff I look up here has YAML code, which I do not understand. It seems that when I need to do more, YAML is needed to enhance automation.

There are things I need to learn on state and entity for motion sensors and other items I need a tutorial for.

I keep emailing and using the form to that site and the email address is rejected and no one has answered the form questions i na month.

Is this site good? Or, is there a better one for beginners similar to this?

Seems the free course is about installing HA (which you have already done), and the more advanced courses require a Credit Card.
If you have specific questions, this forum is a free alternative.
