Smartify Busch Jaeger Doorbell

Hey everyone,
I’m currently struggling to find a solution on how to detect if my doorbell has been rung. It’s a Busch Jaeger System and all offerings by them are in the neighbourhood of €700. So that’s an obvious no.
I’ve tried both most popular solutions:

  • vibration sensor or door sensor
    Both didn’t recognize anything.

Has anyone any ideas on how to detect that the bell has been rung with simple methods? I can’t rewire any cables or something like that, because it’s a rented flat.

I have a Tado Security Camera near the bell. I thought about using that camera’s Audio Stream to detect the bell sound. But not sure how to do that.

Would be very thankful for any suggestions

Is the connection between the doorbell button and the actual bell wired? 433MHz?
Which model is it, exactly? Links welcome.

It is wired. It’s a “Busch Jaeger Welcome” Video System on the outside and on the inside a “83210 AP-6 Innenstation Audio (Link in German)”, so I don’t get any Video (Don’t want it either, so no problem. Just want to know when the doorbell rings)

If you are not afraid of DIY, you could use ESPHome and an optocoupler at the bell input.
Just a random idea, though.

Unfortunately, there is no way I’m allowed to DIY around at the bell input system. My favourite way of solving this would be to somehow detect the noise of the “bell” coming from the speaker, but since both vibration and door sensor didn’t work, I’m kinda out of ideas…
