I know there are a lot of topics about this subject. Still, as time changes there are new products in the market as well as real-life experiences in our vast community is growing, so I decided to start another topic and I do hope it will be interesting for some more people as I suppose there is a lot of people to consider but still not going smart lock way.
As it is not a cheap device - perhaps will be the most expensive in my setup 
I’d like to consider all pros/cons before voting with my money!
Could anyone who has already installed a smart lock recommend or recommend staying away from some brands and models?
The desired setup is quiet and simple, but only at first. I have a typical European door with a cylinder, perhaps I will need to change the cylinder as with the current one if the key is inserted from inside it is not possible to unlock the doors from outside, at the beginning, I don’t want to lose physical key functionality. The downside is that I have double doors so it is quite a narrow space in between.
Currently, I have Zigbee, Z-wave, WiFi, and some Bluetooth (via ESP32 proxy) devices, but I don’t mind setting up Matter if required, just still didn’t need it.
Features I’d like to have:
-auto lock
-auto unlock, in my opinion, is the “must” feature otherwise I can use the classic key all things are about automation. (I don’t mind if the proprietary app is needed for this functionality, and I don’t mind allowing it to use GPS+Bluetooth or whatever, I’m not so important person to be scared of being tracked 
)
-lock/unlock from the app (HA or proprietary, but need to make it possible from a distance - Internet)
-lock/unlock log (HA internal logging is enough)
-other unlock methods, ideally - fingerprint, PIN, NFC.
I was looking at Switchbot Lock Pro (bundle), it seems quite a good option, but unfortunately, it doesn’t have an auto-unlock feature. There are some texts it is coming in August 2024, but I wouldn’t be sure. Another issue with this one is it is quite bulky, I couldn’t find the minimum distance between the 2 doors required to be able to install it. Maybe I just missed this spec.
Please share your experience and thoughts, anything will be great.
