Smartthings-HA-Nabu. Not working together

Good morning everyone. Devices connected to HA with smartthings are not updated correctly if I disabled Nabu. For example, if I turn on a light from the Meross app it doesn’t appear on on HomeKit (connected via smartthings). Why???

Most likely reason (without knowing your configuration - making a few educated guesses)

Because the SmartThings Integration is a cloud integration (HA does not talk directly to a ST hub through the supported integration) and you connected to SmartThings while you used Nabu Casa. By killing Nabu Casa you killed the connection to SmartThings. You’ll either need to fire that Nabu Casa connection back up or come up with an alternative solution to connect.

How do I make SMARTTHINGS work without NABU? It’s possibile?

If you don’t use Nabu Casa then you will need to self host your Homeassistant Internet presence. You’ll need to use something to get your ip address listed on dynamic DNS, reverse proxy, and SSL certificates…

Look up duckdns, nginx and letsencrypt.

Will configuring duck work SMARTTHINGS?

Now you’re getting into some very ‘it depends’ questions. There’s tons of information about your specific scenario, connections, etc. I will say if it’s configured PROPERLY sure… Won’t be an issue. But what properly is for your specific installation could be very different than someone else’s configuration. The only way to know for sure is to research, plan and try.

Personally, I really don’t want to worry about self hosting websites so I just use Nabu Casa.
