Smartthings Integration Stopped Working

I had Smartthings integration working fine for months. Then it just stopped working. All of my devices showed up as “unavailable” and could not be controlled by HA. But the hub is working and I can still control from Smartthings app or via Alexa using the Smartthings skill.

I deleted the Smartthings integration and also deleted the old api token in the Smartthings website. I then tried creating a new token and reinstalling the integration. HA accepts the token and says that the integration has been created, but it has no devices whatsoever. HA can’t see ANY of Smartthings devices.

What just happened??!!

I am running HA 103 on a Linux Ubuntu PC, in a docker container.

Anyone know what happened?

Start with looking in your logs

Haha, this happened to me too just yesterday.

When I looked on the Smart Things legacy app, the Home Assistant SmartApp wouldn’t do anything. Clicking it just says “Something’s wrong”.

I took it as a sign to update to .104, then they all suddenly worked again.

Strangely, the SmartApp still says “something’swrong”, so these could be unrelated. For all I now, it always said this when i clicked it…

I’m not going to tell you that the reason it worked is because I updated. Only that I did update and, maybe by chance, Smart Things worked again.

Jim’s solution to update hassio worked for me. I was on 103.0 and updated to 104.3. The smartthings app still says Something’s Wrong on mine as well.

Same for me, upgraded my docker installation to 104.3 and it fixed the issue.
This is the error I had in the logs:
ValueError: 'HUB' is not a valid DeviceType

I upgraded my docker with these commands:

docker stop home-assistant
docker rm home-assistant
docker pull homeassistant/home-assistant:0.103.4
docker run -d --name="home-assistant" --restart unless-stopped -v /srv/homeautomation/hass-config:/config -v /etc/localtime:/etc/localtime:ro --net=host homeassistant/home-assistant:0.103.4

If you do this, make sure you backup your config files (/srv/homeautomation/hass-config in my case) and make sure these files are not part of your container.

Hi all, Is there any way to solve the issue? By the way I can control my TV via Smartthings but not with HA.

Smartthings toggles online/offline state rapidly. I can’t see how to get it work.

I’ve installed the Hacs ver. no success controlling the echo system
I’m trying to control the ‘outing’ button
