SMB NAS Error Code 113 - Please shed some light

My setup; HAOS in a VM on TrueNAS Scale, all software is latest.

When trying to mount NAS storage, it failed with this message;

Mounting music did not succeed. Check host logs for errors from mount or systemd unit mnt-data-supervisor-mounts-music.mount for details.

This is the error message from the host log;

I have googled the living daylights out of this but am none the wiser.
Would someone please give me some idea where to start with overcoming this error?

Not sure about this one, but I noticed OS 11.4 reverted some kernel patch related to CIFS failures. Maybe there’s still a related issue somewhere.

If no one else has any suggestions, you may need to file a bug report.

I was looking at the error again, and just noticed this

could not connect to 192.168.0.10Unable to find suitable address.

Are you able to ping 192.168.0.10 from Home Assistant?

For someone who should know better, I didn’t try pinging. The answer, however, is HA cannot ping 192.168.0.10. It hangs and does nothing.

I can ping 192.168.0.10 from my Windows 11 box.

Hopefully, this will help. I’m using the first option. If you have trouble creating a bridge, you’ll probably have better luck asking in the TrueNAS forums for help.

If you want to access your TrueNAS SCALE directories from a VM, you have multiple options. If your system has more than one physical interface, you can assign your VMs to a NIC other than the primary one your TrueNAS server uses. This method makes communication more flexible, but does not offer the potential speed of a bridge.

If you have only one physical interface, you must create a bridge interface for the VM to use.

Hmm, another problem which may be related. Sorry to bother you again.
I want NAS storage for LMS but now it throws this message:

Logitech Media Server
The add-on seems to not be ready, it might still be starting. Do you want to try again?

All other add-ons in the side-bar open but not LMS. The error message at the top left of the page is “502: Bad Gateway”.

After clearing the browser cache, the error message is now only;

502 Bad Gateway
nginx

I’ve never used LMS before. Have you checked the logs for the LMS add-on?

I found an old but similar bug report, which indicates it maybe a permission issue.

If you want to share the LMS logs I’ll a look for any clues

Thanks for answering so quickly.

I am at loss to understand what happened BUT it now works. LMS loads from the sidebar and all of the NAS music is listed. All I had to do was WAIT for a bloody long time.

Everything works as it should.
