SMLight Zigbee SLZB-06M vs. SLZB-06

Just wondering the experiences people have had with the M version, vs. non-M version. I know each uses a different chipset and one supports matter. I have opted to get the M version and wanted to make sure this will still work reliably? Thanks

The SLZB-06M has been working here for several months without any problems as a LAN coordinator for Z2M and about 20 zigbee devices. I am satisfied and would not change it for anything else.

Almost 3 months on and are you happy with your decision? pepe59’s feedback looked encouraging (I also plan to use mine on a Zigbee2mqtt setup). Have you also had a similar carefree “I would not change it for anything else” experience?

I took the opposite decision to you, I opted for the P (p7) version rather than the M version, but no plan survives contact with the enemy - in this case a careless Ali Express vendor who, despite my order clearly being for the p7 (I checked the emails), has shipped me the M version so I need to decide whether to return it for a replacement (which with me being in the Uk would be a lengthy process).

From what I’m reading here it looks as if I’ll be just fine but wanted to nudge this thread to see if any more feedback, ideally from happy M owners, is forthcoming. I’m 100% new to HA, the hardware that I intend to run it on should be arriving later today, so I really could do without early frustrations and extra setup steps needed due to an (inadvertent in my case) slightly off-the-beaten-track hardware choice.
