Hi All, hope this is the right place to post my question.
Last week, they broke into our neighbors’ place and the alarm system detected it, but the alarm that went off is barely audible, if at all, in the room they managed to get into.
Now, my idea was to use the X-sense smoke sensors (which are installed in every room) as sirens (the alarm company cannot provide extra sirens). I can activate the test function of the sensors from HA; by repeating that, you can essentially simulate a siren. Has anyone done something similar or has a better idea?

For the HACS integration, supported test/mute/alarm controls were added and should be in the next release. I would still avoid using smoke alarms as general-purpose sirens unless the device/app exposes a safe supported action for that model.
Quick update: supported test, mute, and alarm controls are now included in the latest HACS release.
I would still be careful about using smoke/CO alarms as general-purpose sirens. The integration exposes the supported X-Sense controls we found in the app/API, but I would avoid trying to force life-safety devices into alarm-siren use beyond those intended controls.
