I’m using snapcast as an central audio system, and I’m loving it.
Now, there is a functionality that I’m missing.
We can know when a client is listening to a stream, if that stream is playing. This means when I use spotify on a stream, I can see if music is playing on that spotify stream.
But when I connect that same client to another stream, It is not possible to see the other streams.
So, this is a feature request to have some binary sensors added for each stream that tells if it is playing or not.
That way, I would be able to detect someone started a stream on eg Spotify. Then I can make an automation to have a push notification on my phone, asking what clients needs to play the just started stream.
I know in Snapcast, it is possible to have this information, It just is not in HA at this time.
