Snapshot too Large - Migrated to SSD How to Restore

Hi Everyone,

Starting to wonder if i should just start over. However i have people coming over tomorrow and need everything working :grimacing:

I performed a snapshot on Home Assistant (Full Snapshot) and then installed an SSD. However, as i have now found out, my snapshot that is saved on my NAS is 6.7gb and is too large to restore.

Is there any option to selecting what to restore? Or do i have to go back to the old SD card and perform a core only snapshot?

Upload the snapshot directly to the device HA is installed on and restore from that location. Should work.

Thanks. Don’t know why i didn’t think of that.

  1. Installed Samba Addon
  2. Copied File directly into the /backups folder
  3. Restore partial snapshot for the selected items.
