Snapshot "Unknown error, see supervisor"

The snapshot runs locally on your home assistant server. It has nothing to do with Nabu Casa.

That’s way too drastic. No need for a reinstall at all.

Just a little update.

If I exclude the share and media folder the snapshot is fine.
Thats ok for me, i dont need the share an media folder in my backup

I am having this issue also. I can not make or restore a snapshot. Error on attempting to restore is ‘‘Error: Unknown error, see supervisor’’. Log records ‘HomeAssistantCore.update’ blocked from execution, system is not healthy" when I attempt to upgrade to latest H/A Supervisor version 0.118.2 from 0.118.0.Any suggestions?

Yes, same problem here. I noticed over the last few days since updating to version 0.118.0, that I cannot update the core. As well my daily snapshots have not happened for the same time period.

I see:
Update Available
Home Assistant Core 0.118.3

When I select I get the next box:
Update Home Assistant Core
Are you sure you want to update Home Assistant Core to version 0.118.3?
and when I select that button, nothing happens.

When I look in the log I see:

I’ve done multiple restarts of HA, full reboots of host system, and tried through VNC and the iOS apps. No joy.

Is it possible that the update to 0.118.0 caused an error?
I recognize Supervisor is not supported for Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS. Is it even possible to not run Supervisor, and should I remove it somehow? How does one figure out why the “system is not healthy”? The “More Info” link just takes me to the log where I see the above entries.

Is there a way to run updates manually?

so for all of us having this exact same problem, how do we get Supervisor 2020.11.3 if we’re running Docker/Portainer?

Wow. No answers on this forum. 'com guys. This is a BIG deal and it’s affecting a LOT of people.

Here is the solution. I’ve outlined the very specific steps to fix this problem on Supervised Linux installs. It may work on other installs. I don’t know:

I’m getting this error now. I’m on core-2021.3.0, supervisor-2021.03.4.

I saw the Core update to core-2021.3.1 is available, and tried to make a snapshot before updating. This was the result:

Running on Debian 10 unable to update supervisor manually either.

Have rebooted super visor manually and tried to update manually issue persits

Same issue here using a pi4! I cant update to the new version and cant restore an snapshot. event not with command line. seems the last release broke it all.

This morning, I noticed that the Update message was saying that core-2021.3.2 was available (yesterday it was core-2021.3.1), so I tried taking a snapshot again. Note: I did not restart either the Core or the Supervisor.

This time it succeeded without reporting “unknown errors”. I was then able to upgrade to core-2021.3.2 without problems.

Curiouser and curiouser…

geting this same error. looks to be the zha integration. i used to have this integration but dont use it anymore so deleted it but there looks to be some left overs thats causing errors. any way to fix this?

A reboot didn’t help. Interestingly, only the full backup didn’t work. The .tar file from the log doesn’t exist:

I had some .tar files in the backup folder that would not show up in GUI. went in with terminal app and deleted them. now I am able to do backups again.
