SNZB-06P not posting any status updates

I bought the Sonoff SNZB-06P and added it to my Z2M (SLZB-06 coordinator).
Firmware version 1.0.6 on the Sonoff.

I have tried various combinations:

  • Leaving all settings on default
  • Changing the Occupancy Sensitivity
  • Setting the occupancy timeout to 60s, 30s and 15s

I get updates on the linkquality and last_seen, but the illumination always stays bright - I have even tried wrapping it in a towel to make it dark.

Similarly, the occupancy always stays true. I have tried in different rooms, I have even placed it in a old metal PC case and in a far corner of my house where there is definitely no one within a 10m range of it.

I am a bit lost on what to try next, any help would be greatly appreciated.
