So.. Many.. Buttons!

Hi all

Current setup is pretty straightforward, 2 echos, one 1st gen and the newer one with Zigbee inbuilt and a bunch of bulbs (as well as HA Dash on a tablet but that’s irrelevant).

Alexa handles some routines, I’ve integrated into HA as well.

But I’m looking for buttons. Physical buttons to trigger HA routines/automatons with.

I’ve been looking around and I’ve just landed up confused and I’ve got no idea what works and what dosn’t work with HA!

Could someone please help me? :joy:

All I want to do is have some buttons to trigger HA routines that can also be used by a kid :child:

Thanks!

Counter question: What are you willing to spend?

Fair!

Actually I won employee of the month so I have a £100 amazon voucher to burn :joy:

So… £100 :joy:

So maybe I should ask Amazon for a job

Philips Hue are reliable and have a nice haptic.
Con: So nice and tiny and rolling… away while I was making the beds. But I am naturally born scatty.

Ikea Shortcut button or (my optical fav) Styrbar (don’t know if it is available in your country)
Con: the battery problem

Aqara.

Haha, I don’t work for amazon

But the ikea one looks very promising, one assumes I need to also purchase the TRÅDFRI gateway then link it to HA?

Feel free. I’ve connected it with my Conbee 2.

No, no no. They are useless with the Tradfri gateway. Use them with a Zigbee stick.
