v2 a few months back added direct installation from the Home Assistant integrations page, without any YAML editing.
Since then, the focus has continued to be on making it as useful as possible out of the box with no YAML, which preserving all the power of scenarios and user defined deliveries.
The new action, supernotify.notify means you never need see a nested data: section ever again, and makes it easy to add camera snapshots or Alexa announcements to notifications. And you can use area, floor, label or group to bulk choose things to notify or create a different spoken message for voice assistants.
Auto-discovery is much better - Mobile Apps are found for push notifications even if no Person entry ever created, there’s automatic all deliveries for Alexa Devices speaking and announcing, and for siren entities. Every configured integration available automatically gets a delivery channel to choose from the UI.
The complementary Supernotify Cards offers a rich UI for sending, tracking, configuring and debugging - see the pre-built notification dashboard
On top of that, more recipes, bugs fixed, minor improvements, debug tools, new transports (telegram, discord, ntfy, html5 browser push), better entity integration with Home Assistant, and an improved e-mail integration that supports message priorities and e-mail addresses that don’t need to be wrapped in Notify Entities.
To come - more features available without YAML config, pre-packaged notifications to get Frigate events and Live Activities on your phone for dishwasher running. And if you like the power, flexibility and ease of editing for YAML, its staying around for the advanced needs.
