I have a 15kW export limit so at anytime during the day if I’m not consuming enough the solar gets limited and stops me reaching the full generation capacity of the solar. I have 25kW of panels (20kW micro inverters) so the limit gets hit frequently in sunny Queensland Australia
I have been experimenting with a Node Red Flow to switch on two loads sequentially on and off to make use of this excess energy and for testing purposes I used the Bathroom and Ensuite Heat Lamps 500W each.
The wait until node makes sure the Ensuite Heat Lamp switches off first.
I could use this to also trigger any other loads that don’t mind being turned on and off, and or could always put in a timer to allow a minimum on time if something required longer.
