Hi all,

I have a SolarEdge inverter recently installed in my cellar. There is no hard cabling possibility between the Cellar and my local network on which I hook the HA server.
Using a PLC, I can setup an ethernet or wifi connectivity between my local network and the inverter.
As far as I can understand the only integration solution available is a ModBus-based connectivity (UPDATED! SolarEdge Modbus full setup guide with Energy Dashboard integration for Installations with Battery connected).

I welcome any hint and guidance on how to proceed with SolarEdge integration with my possible connectivity options.

Are you able to go through the instructions on enabling modbus over TCP on your inverter? I don’t believe there is a requirement that it be connected via ethernet…if it is connected via wifi that should be sufficient (I believe). You just have to follow the steps for enabling it which can be done from the mySolarEdge app).
