I have currently the SolaEdge Modbus from HACS (Marketplace) installed: GitHub - binsentsu/home-assistant-solaredge-modbus: Home assistant Component for reading data locally from Solaredge inverter through modbus TCP · GitHub.
Now I noticed that there is also a SolarEdge Modbus shipped in core now: SolarEdge Modbus - Home Assistant.
I have a couple of questions about this:
- Is the version in Market placed now EOL?
- Should I switch to the core version?
- When I switch what happens with my history in the energy dashboard? The new integration will get a new ID which I need to update in the Energy dashboard but in the past when I updated an ID it removed the ld history.
At the moment I am reluctant to switch because of the automations I need to change and the historical data in the Energy dashboard.
But if the HACS integration will not receive any updates and the core version is the way forward…
