I installed HA and the Solaredge integration a couple of months ago. I’ve been looking at data, and sett8ng things manually. Very occasionally I got the error “Connection to inverter ID 1 failed”.
Now I running some automations i get it much nore often. For exanple I created one that checks battery % and sets Storage Command Mode and Timeout. Two settings changed.
I’m finding it gets that error quite often. For example four of the last five runs it set Command Mode but failed to set timeout.
Any ideas? As a workaround I’ve set the automation to run every 10 minutes to make sure the settings are actually applied. But that’s a bodge for something that really doesn’t need to be checked/set that often.
Would i be better with two automations setting only one value each?
Hi. I’m getting the same occasional issue: “Error: Connection to inverter ID 2 failed.” I can set the inverter command delay (currently 300 seconds - default I think)… but I’m unsure as to the best setting to change the delay to in order to minimise future failures… Any pointers much appreciated!
Yup sorry my bad. 300 seconds is indeed the polling frequency. I too have the Inverter Command Delay set to 3. I think these (as you suggest) are the defaults. So, my question to be clear is what are the “best” values for Inverter Command Delay & Polling Frequency to minimise the risk of inverter connection errors? Thanks!
