I am getting data from my SolarEdge inverter, but it looks like the M1 sensor data is junk. I see values that look like traditional "magic numbers (xFFFF). I think I need the M1 data to get meaningful IMPORT and EXPORT numbers to add into my energy dashboard. I do NOT have a battery - all of my solar production goes back to the grid. Any idea how I can get good sensor data?
I have the same! Did you figure it out?
nope but I saw someone in another thread mention this hardware that MAY be needed. Energy Meter with Modbus Connection Solution | SolarEdge. If that is the case I do not think I will be spending the cash for that device. Xcel Energy here in Denver just installed a new smart meter and that should allow me to get at the data coming to/from the grid so I can most likely solve the problem a different way. I see threads on how to access the new smart meter data but there is mixed success. Once my request for data access is approved I will give that a try.
