I have been using a cheap Ali tablet for some time. I wanted to switch to a more decent tablet so I bought myself a Samsung Galaxy A9+ tablet.
I installed Fully Kiosk browser (1.59.2-play) and bought the PLUS license. After installing everything in HA / Frigate it keeps crashing.
What I tried:
- Installing new Android System Webview, tried both the Beta and Dev (version 143 and 144, compared to 141 which is default (and ofcourse switching to the version).
- Reinstalling fully and assigning all rights and permissions again
- Rebooting the device
- Disabling battery management on device
It keeps restarting the app with the message the process got killed.
Only after disabling the Visual Motion detection it keeps working. So If I have it added to HA with visual motion detection turned on, it crashes, without it works.
Now I really would like to use the internal camera for motion detection, thus wanting the feature be turned on. Does anybody have some pointers to get this working (adding it to Frigate needs the feature be turned on too for it to work).
Using HA 2025.11.1, galaxy tab a9+ is on latest update (One UI 7.0 and android 15)

Forcing it to the Legacy Camera API seems to be the solution. I’ll give it some time, but doesn’t crash immediately anymore.
