Just downloaded HASSbian from here:
https://github.com/home-assistant/pi-gen/releases
I downloaded 2017-01-21-HASSbian.zip, unzipped and followed the directions for uss dd to write the image.
Booted up my pi3 B. It booted like every other pi i’ve owned.
The page : https://home-assistant.io/getting-started/installation-raspberry-pi-image/ said after disk imaging browse to your ip_of_pi:8123 which i did and it failed. So then I connected via ssh. the [email protected] service wasn’t running or even listed. I had to use systemctl enable [email protected]
So now I try systemctl start [email protected], but that fails to start. So either the page i started on (getting-started/installation-raspberry-pi-image) has left out some directions or the image doesn’t have hassbian completely setup like it’s supposed to. Maybe i did something wrong but i work in linux frequently.
I’ll probably go to the standard pi installation and start with those directions to see where it went wrong. If anyone has a fix, let me know.
