Hi,
The issue I face now, may not be caused by the homekit integration, but will appreciate the inputs to fix this.
I have my iPad as home hub for long without a problem, but started to see this Home Hub No Response in the home app like from a week ago, hence no access from remote. The iPad is a iPad mini 3 with ios12, which is the highest version for the device. The whole Homekit is working within the internal network, but only remote access is broken now.
From Home app on another device, into Home settings, I see a duplicate home hub entry listed as,
iPad mini 3: Disconnected
iPad mini 3 : Standby
Is this normal? I suspect this has to do with the problem. I am sure that there is only a single iPad with that name. So I rebooted the iPad, also the router, switching on and off the “Use this iPad as Home Hub” switch but no avail.
With the Discovery app, I can see iPad.local correctly inside _homekit._tcp. I can also find this iPad device with apple’s “Find iPhone” app, and play sound, so this iPad can be seen from Apple or from an external network.
I am lost of fixes that I can think of now. Any other things that I can do before I wipe the home and rebuilding it from scratch?
Thank you.
[Update] Solved by rebuilding the home in the home app.
