[SOLVED] Issues iOS 26 and notifications with options

Hey all,

I have some.motifications with actions. I normally select one of the options and done. Now I see only the text of the notification without the choose options. This is on iOS 26 iphone and watch.

Does someone already figure it out to.sopve this?

EDIT: after the iOS companion app update it works again on Apple Watch

I have the same issue, both before and after updating to the latest version of the iOS app. The version (2025.9.1) has a note that could mean a fix was attempted, but it’s not fixed. (“Fixed issue on watch notifications not displaying correct content”)

I’m experiencing the same issue after upgrading to iOS 26 and watchOS 26.
But my phone behaves normally.

Hi lucky you :slight_smile: even the simple notifications are not working anymore on my iOS 26!!
Did you do something to make yours work (even without the choose option)?

Same issue but on iPhone 15Pro (iOS 18.6.2) and Apple Watch 10 (WatchOS 11.6.1). Watch & iPhone HA App v2025.9.0.

Actions on the watch stopped working in the last week or so. Doesn’t appear to be related to iOS 26. iOS iPhone app still works as expected (tap/hold to see actions).

Update: Also tried with latest 2025.9.1 (2025.1389) iOS and WatchOS with the same issue.

I have this issue since 26. After the last HA update everything worked ok

Same issue with iPhone 15, Watch Series 10. Home Assistant, Companion App, Watch and iPhone are all fully updated

hi which version did you install after that update?

I have ios26 and latest HA. Yesterday instead of do action on Apple watch I did it on iPhone. And I was able to select the action
 So don’t know if the issue solved itself

Actions work fine on the phone, they just don’t appear at all on the watch

Same here.

Actionable notifications have been stuck on ‘Loading actions’ on Apple Watch (watchOS 26) since I updated the Home Assistant iOS app to 2025.9.1.

Today I’ve updated HA iOS app to version 2025.9.2 but unfortunately it doesn’t fix the ‘loading action’ issues within Apple Watch (Watch OS 26)

Hi all,

The problem is only on Apple Watch, on iPhone everything is ok.
So no Choose options on the Apple Watch with Notifications.

This is a big showstopper for me because I always use my Apple Watch for most actions. And now I have to go to my iPhone in order to show the Choose options.

Please see the attached png file with screenshots of my Apple Watch and iPhone. This shows the problem in detail.

I hope this issue will be solved soon.

There is an open GitHub issue on this for iOS HA issues:

Seems that “bgoncal” is working on the fix, but no ETA yet.

Yep - Latest HA available today 2025.9.3 on the Apple Watch fixes the issue for me as well. Nice.
