[SOLVED] Random Cellphone Sensor

I’ve got a weird thing happening. My Google Pixel 3 XL is now showing up as a Sensor. It only has ON/OFF states and they match perfectly with me arriving and leaving the house.

It’s not in my known devices list. I can’t find any mention of it in my config files after running a search with Visual Studio Code.

The only states are friendly_name: Google Pixel 3 XL icon: mdi:cellphone. My only thought is that this could be coming from the Nest component.

Anyone else seeing this or have any other ideas?

You installed the HA app on it and logged in?

I’m only using the Chrome Browser. Not using any of the 3rd party HA Android Apps. It’s why this is so odd.

If you look at this sensor in Developer tools>>States in desktop browser mode it will say it is provided by Nest if created by Nest I think.

Do you have Google home component enabled or pay for HACloud. May come through that way somehow

Yeah, it doesn’t say anything about Nest. Was mostly just a shot in the dark.

I did have the Google Home Component enabled when it first dropped but it was flooding me with BT deivces in the known_devices file. So I axed it.

I do pay for the HA Cloud but that only is for GAssistant and Alexa AFAIK.

Odd thing is now it’s not updating. It had me come home and then leave for dinner and coming back but never leaving this morning for work. So I’m truly stumped now… Gonna keep digging.

Finally figured it out. Looks like it’s coming from Hue Sensors.

Line 271 of the Custom Component shows. Guess I never noticed it before.
