With the update to 2021.1.3 the system found the Smappee energy monitor + 4 smart plugs that came with it.
The only thing is: the power values do not correspond in any way with the readings in the app and sometimes even show negative numbers.
Any idea what might be the reason/how to correct this?
TIA!
Hi Nick, would it be possible to share the serial number of the Smappee Energy monitor (in a private message)? That way we can take a look at the configuration and see which values might be incorrect.
Hi @bsmappee, thank you for picking this up!
Are you officially connected to smappee and can you tell me what kind of data this serial number would reveal?
Yes @Nick4, I’m officially connected to Smappee (internally we have completely renewed the Home Assistant integration last year). If you don’t feel confident sharing details through this forum, please use support dot smappee dot com in which you can refer to this thread.
The reason why I would need some more details is to get a clear view of the installation type (number of phases, solar, etc) and to make sure the values in the Home Assistant integration are equal to those in the mobile app.
Hi @Nick4, we have made some changes in the power values calculation for the local Smappee discovery (without API credentials), available since Home Assistant version 2021.2. Would it be possible for you to update your Home Assistant version and see if the values are correct now?
Hi @Nick4, we have received the email with the details. It seems something was wrong with the installation of the Smappee meter causing wrong metering values. My colleagues are taking care of the ticket and will keep you informed.
