Something Better than the Aqara FP1E ~ Your recommendations Needed

Currently I have 3 Aqara FP1E’s in my house (thank you Amazon Prime Day). I have them connected through the Aqara App through the HomeKit Device integration. I want to use them in place of my Aqara P1’s to turn on/off lights using presence detection. The problems I am having is that they are not 100% reliable. Sometimes they will stick on Occupied and sometimes (rarely) they will not sense presence at all. I would currently state that they operate probably 80% reliably.

I really would like a presence detector that is much more reliable than what I am currently experiencing. What is your recommendation? I understand that achieving 100% reliability is probably not attainable, but I just feel that the 80% reliability I am currently experiencing is just not acceptable.

Are the Everything Presence Sensor family more reliable? Is there another recommendation you have? Please share.

I’m generally really happy with my FP2s. After mapping zones and marking interference sources I find them to be quite accurate. They rarely get stuck on occupied and when that does happen I can generally identify the reason.

I do find that when I am very still they will occasionally go “unoccupied” so in 2 locations I have deployed dumber occupancy sensors on a different axis of detection and made group helpers (binary sensor group) to use in automations.
